Tibet House, Inc. New York, N.Y.
Director of Exhibitions: 1995 to 1998
Organized tour of 200 masterpieces of Tibetan art from the 9th to the 19th Century, Wisdom and Compassion: The Sacred Art of Tibet. Borrowed the art works from 34 museums and private lenders. Found, marketed, negotiated and contracted five museums on an international tour to Germany, Spain and Japan (The National Museum of Germany, the Fundacio “la Caixa” Barcelona, the Tobu Museum Tokyo, the Yamaguchi Prefectural Museum and the Chiba City Museum of Art). Worked with museum directors, curators, and implemented tour worth $5 million. Monitored budgets and finances creating substantial profit. 480 page catalogue published in five languages.
Owner’s Representative
Found 7,000 sq.ft. space for new cultural center at 22 W. 15th Street for $300,000. Negotiated price, contracted architects and overseeing project implementation. Obtaining tax-exempt status from NY City.

Project Architect: 1987-89
First position in the U.S. after living abroad for nine years. Supervised architect teams, design and working drawings, construction administration. Met with CEO, Peter Cohen, on Shearson Lehman projects:
- Executive Retreat in Beaver Creek, Co
- Interiors of four Gulfstream III and IV jets.
- Also, cabinetwork Holt Renfrew stores and Ralph Lauren stores.
I.M. Pei and Partners, Paris, France
Architect: 1984-86
Responsible for one-quarter of the Louvre Museum addition, design and working drawings for the first (440,000 sq. ft.) phase, of “the pyramid project”. Carried out all wood working details. Met with French officials, coordinated with structural, electrical and mechanical engineers.
International Council of Museums (ICOM) / UNESCO, Paris, France
Director of Projects: 1979-84
Engaged by the Executive Council to create a management consulting practice offering technical assistance to museums. Met, negotiated and contracted with clients for $100 million in projects.. Found, assigned, contracted and coordinated experts in museum management, finance, architecture and exhibit planning, architectural and exhibit planning, conservation and restoration, museum security, training and inventory systems. Supervised project staff in Paris and Cairo. Ran Cairo office for one year. Projects:
- Renovation and addition of the Egyptian Museum, Cairo; Nubia Museum, Aswan, Egypt
- National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, Cairo (Represented UNESCO on the Minister of Culture of Egypt’s Committee for the National Museum.)
- King Faisal Cultural Center, Riyadh
- The National Museum of Kuwait, Kuwait
- The National Museum of Libya, Libya
- Topkapi Palace, Istanbul.

Architectural Consultant: 1979
Wrote 120 page report, A Comparative Analysis of University Planning Types, in the context of planning for the King Faisal University in Dammam. Surveyed all hospitals on the East coast of Saudi Arabia. Met with Deans of all universities in Saudi Arabia.
